WERRIBEE SOUTH, WEST MELBOURNE - EQUINE New Position

Western Equine Veterinary Services are seeking a full time or part time veterinarian to join our team in the inner west of Melbourne.

Western Equine Veterinary Services (WEVS) is an equine focused mobile practice committed to delivering comprehensive and compassionate veterinary care to the horses in Werribee, Bacchus Marsh and the surrounding regions.  We are a predominantly ambulatory practice with a strong reputation servicing Melbourne's west for over 50 years. We have a varied caseload focused mainly on the health, wellness and emergency care of pleasure and companion horses in our immediate area.  We also provide general performance horse services, standardbred racetrack practice, reproduction services, and a small amount of hobby farm / small animal care.

We are based at a 3 acre purpose built facility in Werribee South, near the Werribee Park Equestrian Centre, where we also offer some equine in-patient and reproductive services, and are likely to soon offer some small animal services.  We also run weekday outreaches from FeedPlus Stockfeed in Bacchus Marsh.

Please click here to see photos! photos

We have all the necessary equipment for optimal on farm care and job satisfaction – including cordless digital xray, repro/tendon/abdo ultrasound, gastroscope/respiratory endoscope, power dental float, K-Laser PBMT, ect. We use modern mobile cloud-based practice management software - ezyvet.  If specialist care is required, we work very closely with nearby referral hospitals.  We also receive referrals back to our Werribee South facilities for post surgical rehab and ongoing case management.

Our location offers a great lifestyle opportunity. Being just 25 minutes drive from the Melbourne CBD, we have the advantage of being able to live in the city's inner western suburbs (and reap all the cultural/lifestyle benefits of this) but get out to work with more laid back folk in the semirural urban fringe.

Ideal applicants will have 12 months experience in mixed or equine practice.  Small animal experience, or willingness, is also desired but not essential.

Applicants should be eligible for registration by the Victorian Veterinary Practitioners

Registration Board and be currently located in Australia, or soon to be located in Australia (with the ability to source your required visa independently).

Further information can be found on our web site www.wevs.com.au

If interested, please forward your CV to Dr Nicholas Robson at info@wevs.com.au  or phone 0418 385 223.

SE MELBOURNE - HAMPTON PARK - SMALL ANIMALS

Small Animal Veterinarian : Full Time / Part Time
Hi, I’m Dr Cameron and I own Hampton Park Veterinary Hospital.

Ever been stumped trying to answer a question...?

Wracking your brain but coming up with nothing...?

For 28 years I have been solving medical problems for pets on a daily basis but this one question was so difficult to answer.

What was the question that stumped a Vet with 28 years experience...?

“Why should someone work with Dr Cameron and the team at Hampton Park Veterinary Hospital?”

Now I wasn’t stumped because it’s such a terrible place to work but because it was easy to answer the obvious things...
The team...
The clients...
The facilities...

But those things are what I feel every other practice owner seems to say.

What stumped me was being able to truly articulate what makes us unique (we Vets are traditionally very modest!).

So, just like when I get stumped by the answer to a medical puzzle I turned to colleagues, clients and specialists for some insight.

Here is what they said…

“Integrity and honesty underpins all their relationships.”

We pride ourselves on doing the right things the right way for the pets, their owners and those who are part of my team.

“Fairness.”

Everyone client and team member is treated equally and respectfully.

“Compassion.”

Apparently there hasn’t been a day I haven’t gone home talking about the clients and pets that came through the consult room or surgery.

Caring is a verb not an adjective.

“Ambition.”

I have always set myself lofty goals and targets and I love to take others along for the ride and help them to do the same.

“Commitment.”

Even after 28 years I still love to continue to tweak and make improvements to my skills and how we do what we do.

What might you take from this..?

If you join the team I go to bat for you. You will be well supported to achieve the goals you have for yourself and evolve into the best Veterinarian you can be.
If you join the team your voice will count. We are a small but tight knit group where everyone contributes valuably to delivering excellent service.
If you join the team you will be treated well. If there is one thing I have learnt it is to value ourselves as professionals and the skills and service we deliver.
Of course, if you join the team there is the usual stuff I mentioned earlier too…

Not forgetting excellent remuneration based on experience.

If joining a team that is led with these guiding principles as their north star sounds attractive then we should talk.

You will be perfect if...

I am really looking for someone who is committed to cementing their career with us. Ideally, the role is full time however, if you are looking for part time work and this resonates I’d be keen to see if we could make it work.

Unlike most other jobs going I’m not going to ask for a CV or a cover letter (well not right away...).

If you are keen to learn more let’s have a no strings attached chat and explore what the future might look like. If it’s something worth exploring further I am sure we will both know it!

Send me an email at cameron@hamptonparkvets.com.au or a text on 0493 248187 and we can go from there.
