We want to assist you to gain confidence, learn new skills and to share with you our love of the veterinary profession. A New Graduate wanting to get their career off to a great start, and an Experienced vet looking to take their career to the next level, wanting the opportunity to work for an experienced practitioner who not only has excellent clinical skills himself but also a keen interest in supporting less experienced vets in their journey to develop theirs. From experience, our new/recent graduates are often significantly further ahead in their clinical development than their peers.

We are looking for vets who are passionate and genuinely like helping people and their pets to achieve the best outcome.

Vets with sound theoretical knowledge, demonstrated clinical skills relative to experience level, a dedication to continued learning and the willingness and drive to expand their abilities in all aspects of clinical practice.

Those who are energised by a faster paced environment, have a flexible mindset, are adaptable and professional, with a positive can-do attitude and self-awareness.  Team members that value honesty, integrity, respect and making a positive contribution to culture and to WQVH’s friendly and supportive environment.

Generous and experienced employer with a reputation based on excellent clinical skills and professional integrity. A clinician with a progressive attitude where exploration of new techniques, professional and personal development is both supported and encouraged.

A facility with two surgeries and three consulting rooms that is fully equipped to tackle just about anything required of a high calibre full-service general practice. Equipment includes Wireless DR, dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy (incl. Rhinoscope), Idexx in-house diagnostic equipment plus full orthopaedic equipment/capability.

A practice in its sixth year of involvement with the Lincoln Institute Leadership development program with a contemporary outlook, philosophy and a dedication to creating a happy, friendly and safe work environment.

Great location! (Despite what people often think!)

Located just over the ACT border in NSW we enjoy all the benefits that being part of the Canberra region provides. Whether it be Inner City living, restaurant and café culture, National Cultural Institutions or clean, rural living with easy access to National Parks, Ski Fields and the South Coast of NSW, this region has so much to offer.

It has a high standard of living, good employment opportunities for partners, good infrastructure, a stable economy and is great place for those wanting to raise a family.

Team Member Testimonial.
Working at WQVH has been everything I hoped for in my New Graduate job. Whilst being busy and challenged (during the very challenging year of 2020!), I have been supported every step of the way both personally and in my professional development. The hours are very fair and the salary is rewarding. Additionally, I have been able to manage a great work life balance this year, which is not something many Veterinarians can say! As a team, we believe in evidence-based learning and providing exceptional care. We fulfil this ethos by regularly updating our equipment and facilities and having regular staff meetings to improve our protocols. I know I will continue to grow as a Veterinarian and as a person at this practice. WQVH is not just a vet clinic but a fun, supportive community who care tremendously about clients, their pets and anything else that comes through the doors. I would choose WQVH ten times over and recommend it to any new graduate or experienced vet.
