School of Veterinary Medicine
Clinical training programs 2024

The School of Veterinary Medicine, Murdoch University has a vacancy in the following program starting July 2024:

12-month small animal rotating traineeship

The training program offers clinical experience rotating predominantly through the areas of Small Animal Internal Medicine and Anaesthesia, as well as Emergency and Critical Care, Diagnostic Imaging and Clinical Pathology.  Trainees also gain formal scholarly training through concurrent enrolment in a graduate program. Exceptional new graduates will be considered. An annual stipend of $40k is offered with concurrent enrolment in the graduate program which results in award of a Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Clinical Studies after completion of 2 semesters. Applicants must be able to start the program in mid-to-late-July for a Semester 2, 2024 enrolment.  Application for clinical training positions is restricted to veterinarians with a degree that can be registered in Western Australia.  Australian and New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent residency status is required for eligibility for full tuition-fee support. Successful applicants who do not meet citizenship or residency criteria are responsible for International Student Tuition Fees beyond domestic fee support.
