12-month discipline-specific traineeships

The 12-month postgraduate trainee program is a year‐long, advanced clinical training program in the School of Veterinary Medicine at Murdoch University in Western Australia. The training program offers clinical experience in specific disciplines and an opportunity to gain formal scholarly training through concurrent enrolment in a graduate program. Exceptional new graduates will be considered. An annual stipend of $40k is offered with concurrent enrolment in the graduate program which results in award of a Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Clinical Studies after completion of 2 semesters. Applicants must be able to start the program in early to mid-January for a Semester 1, 2025 enrolment.

Application for clinical training positions is restricted to veterinarians with a degree that can be registered in Western Australia. Australian and New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent residency status is required for eligibility for full tuition-fee support. All enquiries around the program can be forwarded to Dr Robert Shiel by email robert.shiel@murdoch.edu.au
Applications close Monday January 6th. (Early applications/EOI’s are encouraged)
A letter of intent, current CV, certified copy of academic transcripts, names of 3 referees, and a certified copy of passport/visa as proof of Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency, or of New Zealand citizenship, should be submitted to (jody.reeve@murdoch.edu.au).
