As a busy, high-volume clinic, we need someone who is confident in their clinical skills and able to provide consistently high standards of care, even when the day is fast-paced.
You will ideally bring:
- A formal Veterinary Nursing qualification, such as a Bachelor or Cert IV
- A minimum of 2 years' full time experience in a veterinary clinic environment
- Strong confidence and experience in anaesthetic monitoring and perioperative nursing
- Excellent patient monitoring skills, with the ability to recognise changes in a patient's condition and respond appropriately

As part of our nursing team, you will work closely with our vets and fellow nurses to deliver high-quality care and a positive client experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Client communication and front-of-house support
- Assisting with consultations
- Blood collection, IV catheter placement, and diagnostic testing
- Monitoring anaesthetics and assisting in surgery
- Inpatient care and treatment
- Maintaining clinic cleanliness and preparing equipment
- Supporting the team with general nursing and administrative duties
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent), is currently studying towards their qualification, or is looking to commence their studies
- Is confident with, or eager to develop skills in, medical and surgical nursing
- Has strong communication and organisational skills
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Brings a positive, reliable, and proactive approach to their work
- Values patient care, client relationships, and teamwork

FULL-TIME VETERINARY NURSE (MATERNITY LEAVE COVER)
Monash Veterinary Clinic is looking for a qualified, experienced nurse with excellent reception and communication skills to join our friendly and supportive team.

About the Role
This is a full-time 12-month maternity cover position combining hands-on nursing with front-of-house reception duties. You'll be rotating between surgical, hospital, and reception areas, so versatility and a proactive attitude are key. You'll need to be calm under pressure, highly organised, and capable of juggling patient care with client service.
Who We're Looking For:
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of nursing experience, including reception/admin exposure
- Confident handling of dogs (including large/giant, anxious, or reactive patients) and cats
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask across phone, email, and in-clinic communication
- A friendly, professional manner with both clients and teammates
- Familiarity with EzyVet and VetRadar is an added bonus
