Resident Veterinary Surgeons required for the 2027 season

We are seeking motivated, qualified veterinary surgeons to work alongside our resident stud vet, Monica Morganti, Dr MedVet, DECAR, DACT, MRCVS.

Position for an experienced stud vet to do the breeding management of client mares and synchronisation of the recipient herd. Embryo Transfer skills would be beneficial.

Position for vets with routine reproductive management of mares and knowledge of neonatal management care, with support from senior clinicians and resident specialist.

Exciting opportunity to be part of one of the UK’s leading Sport Horse Studs. The position is full-time or seasonal. It is a requirement to be able to register with the RCVS.

Ambulatory Equine Veterinarian with an Interest in Orthopaedics
€55,000 - €80,000

SES EQUINE VETERINARY SERVICES (KILDARE/WICKLOW) is seeking an experienced ambulatory equine veterinarian with a particular interest in lameness and orthopaedics to join our team in a full-time role. Our team comprises three vets, increasing to five vets during the breeding season, supported by one veterinary nurse.

We are a fully ambulatory practice providing comprehensive routine care and an out-of-hours emergency service. Our clients include Thoroughbred flat and National Hunt racing yards, stud farms, sport horse performance yards and breeding facilities, as well as a large leisure horse client base. This variety provides a broad mix of clinical work, including a substantial stud and reproductive caseload and a strong and growing lameness and orthopaedic caseload.

Our loyal clients value the dedicated care we provide. Teamwork, camaraderie and mutual support are central to how we work. Our ideal candidate will:

Be competent in managing an orthopaedic caseload, conducting in-depth lameness investigations and developing treatment protocols.
Have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clients and fellow team members.

We have a rare vacancy for a new vet at Bury St Edmunds Veterinary Centre.

We have been looking forward into the rota, and as we have 2 vets on maternity leave, we have decided to give ourselves a Christmas gift - yes, it's only 3 months till Christmas - of (hopefully!) a new experienced vet!

We don't technically "need" another vet. This is a want not a need situation, and the right fit for our truly amazing team is 100% the most important thing. This is not a new grad role either (sorry - we LOVE the new grads, we LOVE teaching, but we need to make sure our ratio of experienced: newer qualified is right so that everyone is supported and can flourish).

A little bit about us.... if you have a look at our socials and "meet the team" page on the website you will find a lot, but basically, we are a fabulously independent practice, and will stay that way, in the heart of Suffolk. We are owned by Jenny and Carly, both still full-time working vets on the "shop floor". We genuinely still love our job and have a passion for what we do. We have a team of 13 vets over the 2 sites of Bury and Needham. We fix pets and we enjoy each other's company. We aren't perfect, we are human and won't pretend to ever be anything else. But we support each other and help each other, and all want nothing other than the very best outcomes for our patients and to have a good time whilst doing it.

And what a support network that is. We have certificate holders in Surgery, Dentistry, Imaging, Pain, we have people working towards Opth and Medicine. And then the nurses are out of this world first class. Seriously, I challenge anyone to better them. The reception are also brilliant and they book sensibly, triage well and are a really nice team to work alongside.

As this is an "extra" vacancy, we have the luxury of flexibility. Some people work best part time and that is totally cool with us. Others are full-time and we can make space for that. The only non-negotiable for this role is a great attitude, at least a few years' experience, willingness to go on the on-call rota (don't worry - it isn't heavy, 1 in 6 or so split weekends either days or on call nights and then approx. 1 night every 2 weeks, only for our clients, who are the most amazing and appreciative bunch you could ask for) - OOH is paid in addition and additional holiday is earnt.

IRELAND, COUNTY WICKLOW - REPRO/STUD MEDICINE INTERNSHIP New Position

2027 REPRODUCTION / STUD MEDICINE INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

SES Equine Veterinary Services is offering a unique internship opportunity for a motivated veterinary graduate with a strong interest in equine reproduction and stud medicine. This fixed-term position runs from February to August 2027 (flexible start and finish dates).

Our practice works with Thoroughbred stud farms in the flat racing industry and has a high-volume artificial breeding caseload which includes chilled and frozen AI, embryo transfer, and OPU. We also provide a problem mare referral service. Interns will gain valuable hands-on experience by shadowing our veterinary team therefore gaining in depth experience across all aspects of equine reproduction and stud medicine.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside our experienced team of 4 - 5 vets and 1 nurse in a supportive environment. Interns will assist with all aspects of stud medicine, routine care, and emergency work, and will benefit from mentorship and case discussion.

We value camaraderie, teamwork, and professional development. Interns will be actively involved in the day-to-day running of the practice and will have opportunities to develop clinical skills, participate in research projects, and learn to balance work with a healthy lifestyle.
