Vet Nurses and other support staff

Positions Available in Veterinary Clinics

The London Cat Clinic, Bermondsey UK (posted 12th August)

The London Cat Clinic Logo

The London Cat Clinic is looking for a fanatical feline nurse to join our day team. Is that you?

We are a purpose-built practice in Bermondsey, London, UK! Our nurses work a 42-hour week, 1:4 weekends with time off in lieu with a pay range of £24000 - £35000 depending on your experience and further feline education.

We are lucky enough to have 24-hour service, for which we have a dedicated night team, so our patients are not transported to another practice or left alone overnight. Our day team has a full reception team to take care of all the customer care needs and our veterinary care assistants are there to assist the vets and the nurses so the nurses can do just that, nurse.

All aspects of nursing are utilised here, our nurses work a mix of shifts including nurse consults, in-patients, ops and recoveries. No patient is left alone for any operation or recovery. In-patient care is very important here, we go above and beyond for our patients so much so they are given an iPad to watch their favourite bird or mouse on the screen if they have an extended stay with us. We provide regular updates for their parents by sending photos of their kitten or cat to them along with how they are doing. Regular monitoring is essential to ensure they are on the right track. We use Smart Flow for all our general anaesthetic forms, hospital sheets and consent forms so there are no messy paper charts to have to look through and decipher and this integrates with our practice management system, Animana.

We have all the kit the vets and nurses desire so it is easier to tell you that we don't have CT or MRI. CT is our vision for the future though!

Our team is very important to us. We have meetings to work towards the future together, 6 monthly culture days to remember why we do what we do and how to manage the daily stresses. We also have monthly Friday night team drinks and nibbles to get together outside of our scrubs!

If this sounds like a practice you would like to work in, we would love to hear from you. Please visit our website for further details and how to contact our Head Nurse, Alice.
