About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to work alongside our Lead Veterinarian to support the continued clinical and business success of the clinic.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will play an important part in supporting the team, maintaining efficient day-to-day operations and fostering a positive clinic culture.
The roster is flexible, with a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week. Ideally, you will be available to work one closing shift per week until 6:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the team with the day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring an efficient and smooth workflow
- Assist the Lead Veterinarian with hospital administration, including payroll, wages, accounts and banking
- Lead recruitment, rostering and people management activities
- Maintain and promote high standards of patient care and clinical excellence
- Lead, coach and develop the team while fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture
- Identify and resolve operational challenges and support the team through day-to-day issues
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement and success of the practice
About You
We are looking for an experienced and confident leader who enjoys working in a busy veterinary environment and is passionate about supporting both people and patients.
Ideally, you will have:
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
- 3–5 years' experience, ideally within the veterinary industry
- Previous leadership or management experience would be highly regarded.
- Strong veterinary nursing knowledge and skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence across administration and practice management tasks
- Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management skills
- The ability to remain calm, solutions-focused and professional in challenging situations
- A proactive, positive and collaborative approach, with a willingness to support the team wherever needed
