The Berwick Village Vet, South-East Melbourne (posted 21st June)
Mixed Role Senior nurse, Administration/Practice manager
P/T or F/T and I will consider splitting these roles (Clinical nursing or Admin focused) The Berwick Village Vet is growing and we need to transition into a clinic with more direction. For those interested a role is now available for a senior nurse with an interest in administration or practice management. We do need some clinical nursing shifts (rostered about 15 hours per week) and some Admin/managerial shifts (flexible for the most part but likely 15 plus hours per week).
For the clinical nursing we would like an experienced nurse, who is as comfortable in the surgery as they are on reception. We need a friendly demeanour with at least some sense of humour! The boss likes to crack himself up with dad jokes…
The admin/manager role would be divided into 3 outcomes;
Stability:
Maintaining and improving on what makes us a happy clinic. Rostering, HR, OHS are the behind the scenes focus. Team unity and cohesion, training and personal development are the more personalized areas that will need continued focus.
Improvement:
Moving on from Stability we want assistance with improvements to the clinic building, processes, procedures and protocols for both clinical performance, and business, financial and non-clinical performance.
Growth:
Making sure we continue to grow, with marketing and advertising, facebook, newsletter, signage, and other ways to spread the word. We have a marketing company we work with, but we need more from our end to maximise this.
So what do we need? A Certificate IV is an advantage. It is not crucial and experience will have as much weight as a Cert IV. Minimum 3 years nursing experience please. Maturity and life experience will be essential for this role. Any prior experience in managerial or administrative roles will be an advantage. So if this sounds like something you’d be interested in please contact us via email or on 9707 3855. I’m happy to chat about the role. If you’d like to apply please send in your application to office@berwickvillagevet.com.au
