dermatology for animals logo

Veterinary Nurse – Full Time

Established in 1998, Dermatology for Animals provides the veterinary dermatology service within the majority of specialist multi-disciplinary veterinary hospitals in Queensland, as well as providing dermatology referral services to regional centres in Queensland, Northern Territory and New South Wales. We are now looking for additional veterinary nurses to join our expanding team of veterinarians, nurses and administrators in south-east Queensland.

We are seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced nurse, who wants to excel in providing first rate nursing care, and who is capable across the broad range of skills that encompass veterinary nursing in a dermatological environment. This not only involves utilising patient nursing skills, but also learning about new techniques, becoming competent in dermatological diagnostics, and communicating with clients both in person, by phone and by email.

Veterinary dermatology is unique amongst referral disciplines in fostering long-term relationships with clients and patients. It’s less about fixing our patients and sending them on their way, and more about managing their issues so that they and their owners can live their best lives. It’s also unique in that dermatology rarely presents with genuine emergencies, and this allows us all to have an enviable work-life balance.
