WARWICK, SOUTH DARLING DOWNS - MIXED New Graduates welcome

Mixed Practice Veterinarian Positions Available – Warwick, QLD

Warwick Town and Country Vets is a well-established privately owned clinic, currently seeking to employ 2 mixed practice veterinarians. The positions available are very flexible and could either be a full time or part time position or a casual position. Experienced veterinarians, and or new or recent graduates will be considered for the positions with continued support and mentoring provided.

We are a small but dedicated team of 2 vets and 4 nurses, and we pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and practicing a high quality of veterinary medicine and surgery to our friendly and loyal clientele. You will be working in a friendly and relaxed environment with an experienced team of supportive staff. The clinic is currently a mix of approximately 80% small animals and 20% large animals (horses, cattle, sheep and goats).

Our veterinary hospital is equipped with modern technology including a digital x-ray machine, an ultrasound, a dental x-ray machine and im3 dental unit. We run Vision software which integrates with our in house IDEXX laboratory which consists of a lasercyte, catalyst one, coag analyser, vetlab urinalysis and microscopes. We have multiple fluid pumps for hospital and surgery patients. We have 2 anaesthetic machines and monitoring equipment. We have a power float for equine dentals.

Our clinic hours are 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm Saturday and 9am to 12pm Sunday (you will only have to attend the clinic on Sunday for emergencies), and we provide an afterhours emergency service at all other times. We do take some of the stress out of being the vet on call by having a great team of very experienced nurses who are on call with you, but most importantly they take and answer the afterhours phone which means that you will only get a call from the afterhours nurse if they need further advice or in an event of an emergency. A work car will be provided for on call use.

We have always been supportive of a great work-life balance and think that this is essential for a rewarding career in this profession; therefore, our rosters and hours are very flexible. You may like to work 2 days a week or 5 days a week or even just 1 week a month. Salary will be well in excess of the award + super and will depend on your experience and the number of hours you choose to work. An additional bonus will be paid after the initial 3 months once you decide that this is the job for you. You will be given 1 weeks paid study leave and $5000 to spend on continuing education in addition to 4 weeks holiday leave each year. There will also be the opportunity for partnership in the business for the right applicant.

TOOWOOMBA - SMALL ANIMAL

The best GP Vet job available right now...

In the world...
Well, maybe Australia...
Probably Queensland...
But DEFINITELY Toowoomba!
(Or at least we think so!)

G'day I'm Louis...
Together with my mate Dave we own Toowoomba Family Vets and Red Vets (it's sister emergency clinic).

I've been in the game more than 20 years now. I reckon I have made it this far based on three key things:

1) I genuinely love what I do and I genuinely love helping people (and their pets);
2) I have always taken pride in doing my best (even in the most challenging of cases);
3) I love to have fun and a good laugh!

Dr Dave and I have been part of the Toowoomba community for years. In fact, I grew up here...

So we have been able to create a practice that...

By now you might think it sounds perfect...

It's not. BUT it is pretty darn good!

We'd like you to consider joining us in the adventure of making it even better!

Please click here to see photos! photos

If you are keen for a job where you can enjoy yourself and you want...

Now I know nearly every man and his dog (literally) are on the lookout for a good vet...
But there are few opportunities available where you can truly cement your career as the vet you’ve always dreamt of being...
You'll join our 10 vet and 30 support staff team in an encouraging growth driven atmosphere...
Our facilities allow full in-house work up of cases...
Our joint emergency centre means your patients get the same continued care even when you head home…
If you love surgery - learn the art of complex orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries from our onsite referral surgeon Dr Julian Lunn...
World renowned medicine specialist Dr Terry King regularly in clinic and available virtually for mentoring...

So, we reckon we are pretty good…
But don't just believe us...!
Here is what one of our vets has to say...

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Toowoomba Family Vets and REDvets for over 3 years. TFV is truly the best of both worlds, the variety and relationship building of GP work coupled with the support of our 24 hour hospital. This clinic is collaborative and supportive, all the vets look out for each other, and help is only a phone call away. We also have amazing support staff that you can trust to take the best care of your patients, help run diagnostic tests, and keep all the wheels turning. I highly recommend all vets that would like to stretch themselves in excellent GP care consider the role” Dr Ellie Burnett

Check us out on our Facebook and Instagram pages....

You'll see we don't have two heads and you’ll marvel at how I'm looking so young after 20 years on the tools!

If you are keen to have a chat about the opportunity then I'd love to hear from you...

Give us a call or text on 0408 720 846.

If it's worth exploring further, we'll both know it!

Look no further because we have the solution...

REDvets Toowoomba Graduate Acceleration Internship

Imagine getting to experience...

Exposure to the day-to-day issues for people and their pets. Develop your consulting skills and confidence when talking to clients.

Get to see more complicated referral surgery cases and the do and do nots of approaching tricky cases.

Build your confidence when dealing with those cases that come rushing through the door in a supported environment which really takes the pressure off.

Our internship gives you the opportunity to work in, learn and experience it all...

It sets you up to know with confidence the direction you wish to take your career...

And of course, you'll love us so much you'll never want to leave...!

Why are we so confident you'll love us...?

Well, we think we are a lot of fun...

And when Dr Louis laughs (which is most of the time)...

Everyone laughs!

But on a serious note...

Work to live not live to work...

Become the Vet you dreamt of being...

So, we reckon we are pretty good… But don't just believe us...!

Here is what our most recent member to join the team has to say...

“Looking towards graduation last November I was hoping to find a vet role that was stimulating, encouraging, supportive with the goal of providing the best patient care. I initially believed these were somewhat unattainable, but I’m beyond pleased to say that’s exactly what I have found at REDvets. I have been presented with the perfect balance between mentoring and independence on both medical and surgical cases, which has provided a steep learning curve in all aspects of being a vet. For the opportunities I’ve been given and the continued support from all the senior vets, nurses and other team members I am extremely grateful.”

Dr Sam Tillack, 2020 graduate

Check us out on our Facebook and Instagram pages....

You'll see we don't have two heads!

If you like what you have read and what you have seen, then we'd love to hear from you...

Shoot Dr Louis a text on 0408 720 846 and we can arrange a time to talk…

If it's worth exploring further, we'll both know it!

INNISFAIL, CASSOWARY COAST - SMALL ANIMALNew Graduates welcome

NEW GRADUATE POSITION – BEAUTIFUL INNISFAIL, GATEWAY TO REEF AND RAINFOREST

Coral Coast Vets have the ideal position available for a new graduate to flourish. As part of our team, your wellbeing and professional development is as important to us as it is to you.  If you are looking for a great place to start your career, that will give ample experience in medical, surgical and emergency medicine, keep on reading.

Our service is not a job or career path but a way of life that allows us to service our community and their pets.  We love the feeling of becoming part of the extended family of our clients, working together to ensure the wellbeing of both the patient and owner is taken care of with genuine warmth, integrity and compassion.

Please click here to see photos! photos

Coral Coast Vets currently is a 3 vet (looking to become 4 vet) small animal practice with excellent facilities and equipment to allow us to perform in the most efficient manner.  Team work is essential for the practice to operate harmoniously and is one of our most important values.

As a new graduate veterinarian, you will be supported every step of the way to allow yourself to be challenged in a safe and secure environment by having 3 experienced vets at your beck and call. There is nothing more satisfying for me as an experienced vet of more than 25 years than to watch someone develop professionally and personally and spread their wings as their confidence grows.

Here is what some of our previous team members have to say about their development in our clinic:

“I started as a new grad from The Netherlands and experienced an ideal place to learn the job.  Hands on, enough tools to work up more challenging cases, very friendly supporting staff with a low threshold to ask for back-up or advice.”  Dr Vera Bavinck Drs, Drs, MVS

“I worked at Coral Coast Vet as a new graduate and can honestly say I couldn't have asked for a more supportive boss and team to work with. Being a new graduate is challenging so it in imperative that you find a clinic owner who will not only offer you mentorship but who also understands the importance of your mental well being; Karen was definitely this person for me. Also Innisfail is a great place to begin your Veterinary career as you see a wide range of emergency, medical and surgical cases, while still having the ability to refer if necessary.” Dr Kirsten Court BVSc

Afterhours duty is a part of the position and our roster is flexible, with a long week-end off after being on call in addition to a week-day off every week.

As a new team member, we will invest heavily in you to give the best possible start.  Therefore, our decision will not be made lightly.  We are looking for someone with the potential to grow with us, not someone who wants a job for 12 months.

So, if you have the passion, enthusiasm and excitement to learn and grow with us, please contact me on either the email or phone details below.

Is work not meant to be fun?

There is no doubt that the veterinary landscape has changed and is constantly changing. Clients expect more and seem more stressed, teams more anxious and less emotionally connected. That can make any day challenging!

We know there are plenty of places out there looking for vets, what makes us different?

We have four core values here at CVS – compassion, commitment, teamwork and making a difference. These values underpin everything that we do as a team and for our clients.

We want to provide the best possible service to the people and animals of western Queensland. We are in the unique position in offering a service to clients who otherwise wouldn’t have access to a vet for in some cases over 800km – which means we get to work up and treat cases that a lot of other vets wouldn’t have the opportunity to do!

The Charleville Vet Surgery has all the equipment you need to do a good job, and we are located in a great little spot on the edge of town with a well-equipped smallies clinic, and great barn set up for our horses. We have everything you could ask for in a mixed practice – soft tissue and trauma surgery (and ortho if you’re up for it!), equine dentistry, stitch ups, colics, race day and endurance vetting, cattle preg testing, bull testing and herd health – and the odd alpaca or goat surgery in between!

About our town: Known as the “hub” of the South West, Charleville is a great little outback town offering a relaxed and authentic country lifestyle.  We have access to a fantastic range of services and facilities including public and private schools, TAFE, well-equipped hospital, medical and dental services, a library, restaurants and shopping facilities to name just a few.  There is no shortage of sporting clubs and facilities including a new gym, 18-hole golf course, swimming pool, touch football, rugby league, triathlon, netball, squash, tennis, shooting, cricket, dancing, pony club, polocrosse and campdrafting. There are also some great fishing, skiing and swimming spots close by as well.  There are bus services and flights daily to Brisbane, making trips away easy and accessible. With a population of around 3500, we have a strong and vibrant community, making it a great place to live.

KILLARNEY, SOUTHERN DARLING DOWNS - MIXED New Graduates welcome

1-2 Genuine Mixed Animal Veterinarians Wanted

Killarney Vets is seeking a mixed animal veterinarian/s preferably with 2 years’ experience however new and recent graduates are still strongly encouraged to apply.  Remuneration is well above award, depending on experience, and there is also the opportunity for partnership or ownership.  The position/s are fully supported by the owners with over 30 years’ experience between them.

We are currently in the process of building a new small animal clinic and we have horse breeding facilities at another close site.  We have all the latest toys from IDEXX in house lab, DR x-ray, high end SA ultrasound, cattle pregnancy ultrasound, SmartFlow and ezyVet; everything that you need for diagnosing and managing your patient is linked to make records and communication easy.

We are a very forward-thinking, collaborative practice and offer our clients a very high calibre of medicine and surgery despite our small-town status.  We are looking for a fellow veterinarian/s who embrace continuous improvement professionally and personally (we all can learn something new each day!) in order to offer great veterinary care of all species, special interests encouraged.   We value team work, communication and feedback and our ideal new team member will too.

The clinic is a genuine mix of 50% small and 50% large animal.  The small animal case load consists of general consultations and surgery, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics.  The large animal case load consists of mostly beef cattle ambulatory work, pregnancy testing and bull testing.  We do a small portion of dairy work and horse ambulatory work and have the facilities to care for more complicated horse medicine, eye and injury cases and as well as breeding.  Killarney Vets services a wide area including into northern NSW with a consulting room in Woodenbong.  The clinic has been established for over 30 years and has deep community roots in the area.

Please click here to see photos! photos

The practice is open 8am-5pm Monday to Friday with on call offered weeknights and weekends.  We work hard during the day but our on-call load is very light with an average of 1 call out every 2-3 days.  We pay handsomely for any on call work and focus on our staffs mental wellness and rostering to relieve fatigue if you do happen to have a big night or weekend on call. Our clinic normally runs as a 2.5 vet clinic but the recent loss of 2 of our permanent vets has left us working as a 1-1.5 vet clinic but we have adjusted our workload to suit.  We currently have a mixed practice intern veterinarian that is shared in a 3 week out of 9 rotation with 2 other clinics in Warwick.  We have locum veterinarians secured into the new year to continue to offer support to our clinic while we work on finding another permanent staff member.   This is due to 1 of the senior veterinarians and owners currently being on maternity leave.  She will be aiming to return to work on a part time basis in the new year.

Killarney is located 2.5 hours from Brisbane, 1.5-1.75 hrs from Gatton and 1.5 hours from Toowoomba.  Therefore, we are well situated to refer things as needed, and our clients are willing to refer most times.  We also have access to a travelling specialist surgeon who we have utilised on many occasions for clients who do not necessarily wish to transport their pets to referral centres.

Our small team of nurses are fun and always trying to offer our clients the best opportunities to have their animals looked after while ensuring the vets are not over-worked.  With the current veterinarian staffing crisis the whole industry is facing we are acutely aware of looking after our vets.

BILOELA - MIXED PRACTICE - MATERNITY / PERMANENT

ARE YOU A MIXED VET LOOKING FOR MORE?
THE NEXT 2 MINUTES COULD CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

Hello! I’m Doctor Katie,
I grew up locally on a cattle farm. Country life and me are like peas and carrots. When all the other kids were playing netball or football, I was out riding my horse.

Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to become a vet. I can remember I loved peeking wide-eyed over the rails in awe when our family vet came to visit. I was fascinated by what they could do, to me it was like watching miracles happen (and 6 year old me was right, being a vet was pretty special).

We have a special opportunity for the right person. The type of opportunity that doesn’t come around all that often………..if you’re up for it?

One of our vets is going on maternity leave, so we are able to offer a rare opportunity for a new vet to join our team. This position is flexible; 6 – 12 months of maternity leave fill in, and if you love our clinic stay on full time! We are a growing clinic that is looking for our next superstar! The position would be perfect for you if:

If you want something better, then what's holding you back?

Please click here to see photos! photos

Here’s what makes our offer so good!

Sounds amazing? Then read on…

Here is a chance to join a practice where you can undertake 50/50 large and small animal, with the option of pursuing a special interest in any field. Our team is cohesive, well trained and a ‘can do’ attitude. The potential to upskill and give everything a go will be limited only by your imagination.

Our team can provide references for you! So don’t take my word for it, we’ll be happy for you to ask them how great our practice is for yourself! AND….. If you reach up for a chat, we like to guarantee that all enquiries and conversations are kept private and confidential.

Call us. It takes 2 minutes out of your day, and it could just turn out to be the best thing you have ever done.
