EAST TOOWOOMBA - SMALL ANIMAL New Graduates welcome

The best GP Vet job available right now…

In the world…
Well, maybe Australia…
Probably Queensland…
But DEFINITELY Toowoomba!
(Or at least we think so!)

G'day I'm Louis…
Together with my mate Dave we own Toowoomba Family Vets and Red Vets (it's sister emergency clinic).

I've been in the game more than 20 years now. I reckon I have made it this far based on three key things:

  1. I genuinely love what I do and I genuinely love helping people (and their pets);
  2. I have always taken pride in doing my best (even in the most challenging of cases);
  3. I love to have fun and a good laugh!

Dr Dave and I have been part of the Toowoomba community for years. In fact, I grew up here…

So we have been able to create a practice that…

Clients not only value their pets but value their vets!
Enjoys long lasting relationships with amazing owners and their lovable pets…
Has a fulfilling mixture of consulting, surgery, and hospital…
Is a true like-minded team of professionals with a focus on shared responsibility.
By now you might think it sounds perfect…

It's not. BUT it is pretty darn good!
We'd like you to consider joining us in the adventure of making it even better!

If you are keen for a job where you can enjoy yourself and you want…

Now I know nearly every man and his dog (literally) are on the lookout for a good vet…
But there are few opportunities available where you can truly cement your career as the vet you’ve always dreamt of being…
You'll join our 10 vet and 30 support staff team in an encouraging growth driven atmosphere…
Our facilities allow full in-house work up of cases…
Our joint emergency centre means your patients get the same continued care even when you head home…
If you love surgery - learn the art of complex orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries from our onsite referral surgeon Dr Julian Lunn…
World renowned medicine specialist Dr Terry King regularly in clinic and available virtually for mentoring…

Please click here to see photos! photos

So, we reckon we are pretty good…
But don't just believe us…!

Here is what one of our vets has to say…
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Toowoomba Family Vets and REDvets for over 3 years. TFV is truly the best of both worlds, the variety and relationship building of GP work coupled with the support of our 24 hour hospital. This clinic is collaborative and supportive, all the vets look out for each other, and help is only a phone call away. We also have amazing support staff that you can trust to take the best care of your patients, help run diagnostic tests, and keep all the wheels turning. I highly recommend all vets that would like to stretch themselves in excellent GP care consider the role” Dr Ellie Burnett

Check us out on our Facebook and Instagram pages….
You'll see we don't have two heads and you’ll marvel at how I'm looking so young after 20 years on the tools!

If you are keen to have a chat about the opportunity then I'd love to hear from you…
Give us a call or text on 0408 720 846.
If it's worth exploring further, we'll both know it!

CHARLEVILLE, SOUTH-WEST - MIXED, SMALL ANIMAL ONLY WELCOME New Graduates welcome

Hey! Court here!

Back in 2020 I did a thing -I bought a vet clinic! Not just any clinic, the one we used to bring our dogs, horses and cats to when I was a kid!

It’s been a dream of mine to return home and be a vet in the area that I love – and I have been living that dream for nearly 4 years now!

But, I have an even bigger vision for what we can achieve here in Charleville, and I need your help to do it!

Currently our vet team consists of myself and Dr Em, (who’s been with us since graduating back in 2021), as well as a team of awesome nurses and admin staff who are always striving to do their best and help us do a great job. We also have some super locums that assist us on a regular basis.

Given our location, we not only see animals in Charleville, but service an area around the size of Tasmania! Which means you get to see and experience a lot of outback QLD.
(I hope to one day get my pilots license and a clinic plane to make travel a bit easier – maybe you have dreams of being a pilot as well?!).

There are just so many people and animals we need to help out here, and Em and I can’t do it on our own!

We have everything you could ask for in a mixed practice – soft tissue and trauma surgery (and ortho if you’re up for it!), equine dentistry, stitch ups, colics, race day and endurance vetting, cattle preg testing, bull testing and herd health – and the odd alpaca or goat surgery in between! If it interests you, there is huge potential for expansion of our large animal services in the area with more team members on board!

Please click here to see photos! photos

We are open to varied rosters, FIFO or small animal only positions to suit your needs.

I believe that being a rural vet is one of the most rewarding jobs you can have, but I also know first-hand that it can be one of the toughest. A good support network is essential and I am always trying to improve myself to be a better leader and provide support for our team.

I want Charleville to be a clinic that gives you a great work life balance, encourages continuing development, and fosters an ongoing love for being a vet.

Even if you just want to find out some more info about us or Charleville, I would love to have a chat!

Call me on 0437 080 065, or email courtney@charlevillevetsurgery.com

Welcome to Tableland Veterinary Service. We have eight clinics scattered around tropical North Queensland. You can enjoy all the benefits of working in a larger clinical network without getting 'lost in the system'.

There is a lot we could say about life at TVS...Obviously, we offer a valued service to regional communities. However, this couldn't happen without a focus on building a culture, where everyone in every role was valued...and genuinely enjoyed coming to work.

We've been recognised as one of Australia’s best places to work, and we were certified as a Great Place to Work™ for the third year in a row in 2023...and aim for it to be four years running in 2024. Add to that being recognised in 2023 at the Queensland Training Awards as the best Medium Size employer in North Queensland.

Please click here to see photos! photos

The backbone to all this is the 'Spirit of TVS'...It brings us together as a team, guides our decisions and defines who we are.

It's all about BEING DEPENDABLE...

CHOOSING POSITIVITY...

SOLVING PROBLEMS...

And SHOWING LOVE.

If these don't resonate with you then you are not 'our people'... plain and simple.

But if they do...then read on.

We are looking for a Vet with some experience under their belt to join us...(Although recent grads looking to extend themselves will also be considered...)

Our group of clinics has a caseload that's as mixed as it comes...but this particular role at Coral Coast Veterinary Service is better suited for someone focused on small animals!

Regardless of whether your passion is largies, mixed or straight out smallies we encourage all our Vets to follow their passion, to develop and advance their skills...and to enjoy operating in areas of clinical practice that interest them.

Our clinics are nestled amongst the pristine tropical rainforest, crater lakes, golden beaches and sapphire waters of the Great Barrier Reef. If you love 'living life in summer' then you will love it here!

And don't worry, there will be plenty of opportunity to enjoy all the adventure or relaxation...

Our full time staff work a 4-day week. And although we are looking to fill a full time gap in the team, we pride ourselves on offering flexibility and can accommodate applicants who would prefer to work a little less.

When it comes to renumeration ours is industry leading. In fact, we are one of very few practices that have a clear and transparent salary guide...no more waiting and wondering for a pay rise... we guarantee you will be recognised for your expertise, experience, qualifications and leadership skills with us.

If this sounds like something you want to learn more about then give us a call or shoot us a text on 0410 418 098 or email work@tablelandvet.com.au

We can have a chat, answer your questions and if it's worth exploring further I'm sure we'll both know it!

FULL TIME VETERINARIAN (MIXED LARGE AND PRODUCTION ANIMAL FOCUS)

Taroom Vets, a true mixed practice located in central Queensland is looking for another Vet with an interest in large animals.

Taroom is a great town and an even better community. The town punches above its weight and is a great spot socially for young people or to raise a family. We may seem remote to some, but we are not really for the scale and style of work which we do.

We currently employ 4 Veterinarians and are looking for another. Skills and competencies can be taught, though a can-do attitude and willingness to roll up the sleeves and rip in is required. We do some big days at times but manage our workload ourselves in the quieter times.

All vets employed with the practice have access to a broad and varied workload and we encourage them to explore and develop areas of interest. We Preg test plenty of cows, test bulls, AI cattle and horses, fracture repair dogs in house and service a handful of feedlots.

We are a true mixed practice, with beef cattle comprising 60% of revenue, horses 20% and dogs 20%. Our clients are low maintenance and truly appreciative that we provide a service to the community. The practice has BCF cattle ultrasounds for each vet, excellent bull testing equipment, two top of the range DR digital radiography, power float and equine dental kits, Ute backs to fit out a vehicle including fridges. We have a willingness to provide that goes with a very non- corporate atmosphere.

All the usual benefits of CPD, licenses, afterhours on 50% professional fees are included.

Salary – $80k to $130k plus afterhours depending on experience. Potential partnership opportunities may be available for anyone who wants to call Taroom home. Assistance with re-location and finding accommodation can be provided. Any applicants are encouraged to speak to current or previous staff to get an insight into work life.

EAST BUNDABERG, WIDE BAY BURNETT REGION - SMALL ANIMALNew Graduates welcome

Veterinary surgeon wanted to join a 4 person practice in Bundaberg Queensland

We are a small animal hospital with all the “mod cons” – dental and normal digital x-rays, ultrasound machines, 3 surgery tables and dental table, full orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery equipment, comprehensive pathology lab, class 4 laser therapy machine, fully computerized hospital etc.

Why should you apply for this position?
We are very experienced and very qualified with 2 of the senior vets belonging to Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Science – one in Small Animal Surgery and one in Internal Medicine of Small Animals.

We are privately owned and do not hold our staff to KPIs. We believe in Quality rather than Quantity in our workload as we deal with our clients and their wonderful furry and feathered friends.

We encourage further education, and we offer a fully paid week leave to attend conferences etc.

We have vet meetings every morning to discuss any hard or annoying cases and we tutor all young or inexperienced veterinarians.

We do not have a large workload and that means that the vet has time on each case to fully investigate and time to discuss the case with each client.

We care for our staff – if you are inexperienced then we will teach you, if you are moderately experienced we will encourage and help you to develop your skills and if you are very experienced, we will leave you alone unless you require help.

Every vet gets 6 weeks holidays a year.

Every vet gets “half a day” off each week.

If you are “on duty” on a weekend – the next weekend is a 4-day weekend.

There is some afterhour work involved but our workload afterhours is very small.

We believe that there is more to life than veterinary science and it is important that we have a life outside of veterinary science.

Salary starts at $80,000.00 for new graduate and goes up higher depending on experience of successful applicant.

We offer rental assistance to the successful applicant for the first year of employment and further assistance would be considered after this time.

Please click here to see photos! photos

Why should you consider coming to Bundaberg?
It is a small city with lots to offer all citizens of our fine town. It is the southern most point of the Barrier Reef. We are a “step and hop” away from Gari (Frazer Island). Our beaches are safe for all water sports and activities, and we have a number of dams in the area for those who want to partake of freshwater activities. Our city caters for all forms of team sports as well as individual sports and forms of recreation.

We have the world-famous Mon Repos turtle sanctuary, and we are one of the ports for Whale Watching. We are surrounded by some of the best growing areas in Australia and are often called the Salad Bowl of Australia.

The cost of living is a lot cheaper than any of the big cities and transport is easy and traffic jam free. In fact, it only takes 20 minutes to drive from one side of the city to the other even in peak hour traffic.

Our air is clean, there is no pollutant smells, the people are friendly, there are lots of different schools and one university, there is a very active playhouse and there is night entertainment for the young and young at heart.

To sum it up
Bundaberg is a very safe, healthy and happy place to live, the veterinary hospital is a great place to work and the successful applicant will learn a lot and develop their veterinary skill under the tuition of very experienced senior vets and you will have plenty of time away to have a “normal” life.

If you require more information, then please contact our manager and we can supply you with as much information as you need.

If you feel this position is right for you, please email your application to:
