- I have always taken pride in doing my best (even in the most challenging of cases);
- I love to have fun and a good laugh!
Dr Dave and I have been part of the Toowoomba community for years. In fact, I grew up here…
So we have been able to create a practice that…
Clients not only value their pets but value their vets!
Enjoys long lasting relationships with amazing owners and their lovable pets…
Has a fulfilling mixture of consulting, surgery, and hospital…
Is a true like-minded team of professionals with a focus on shared responsibility.
By now you might think it sounds perfect…
It's not. BUT it is pretty darn good!

So, we reckon we are pretty good…
But don't just believe us…!
Here is what one of our vets has to say…
“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Toowoomba Family Vets and REDvets for over 3 years. TFV is truly the best of both worlds, the variety and relationship building of GP work coupled with the support of our 24 hour hospital. This clinic is collaborative and supportive, all the vets look out for each other, and help is only a phone call away. CHARLEVILLE, SOUTH-WEST - MIXED, SMALL ANIMAL ONLY WELCOME
Hey! Court here!
Back in 2020 I did a thing -I bought a vet clinic! Not just any clinic, the one we used to bring our dogs, horses and cats to when I was a kid!
It’s been a dream of mine to return home and be a vet in the area that I love – and I have been living that dream for nearly 4 years now!
But, I have an even bigger vision for what we can achieve here in Charleville, and I need your help to do it!
Currently our vet team consists of myself and Dr Em, (who’s been with us since graduating back in 2021), as well as a team of awesome nurses and admin staff who are always striving to do their best and help us do a great job. We also have some super locums that assist us on a regular basis.
Given our location, we not only see animals in Charleville, but service an area around the size of Tasmania! Which means you get to see and experience a lot of outback QLD.
(I hope to one day get my pilots license and a clinic plane to make travel a bit easier – maybe you have dreams of being a pilot as well?!).
There are just so many people and animals we need to help out here, and Em and I can’t do it on our own!
We have everything you could ask for in a mixed practice – soft tissue and trauma surgery (and ortho if you’re up for it!), equine dentistry, stitch ups, colics, race day and endurance vetting, cattle preg testing, bull testing and herd health – and the odd alpaca or goat surgery in between! If it interests you, there is huge potential for expansion of our large animal services in the area with more team members on board!
Please click here to see photos!
We are open to varied rosters, FIFO or small animal only positions to suit your needs.
I believe that being a rural vet is one of the most rewarding jobs you can have, but I also know first-hand that it can be one of the toughest. A good support network is essential and I am always trying to improve myself to be a better leader and provide support for our team.
I want Charleville to be a clinic that gives you a great work life balance, encourages continuing development, and fosters an ongoing love for being a vet.
Even if you just want to find out some more info about us or Charleville, I would love to have a chat!

EAST BUNDABERG, WIDE BAY BURNETT REGION - SMALL ANIMAL
Veterinary surgeon wanted to join a 4 person practice in Bundaberg Queensland
We are a small animal hospital with all the “mod cons” – dental and normal digital x-rays, ultrasound machines, 3 surgery tables and dental table, full orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery equipment, comprehensive pathology lab, class 4 laser therapy machine, fully computerized hospital etc.
Why should you apply for this position?
We are very experienced and very qualified with 2 of the senior vets belonging to Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Science – one in Small Animal Surgery and one in Internal Medicine of Small Animals.
We are privately owned and do not hold our staff to KPIs. We believe in Quality rather than Quantity in our workload as we deal with our clients and their wonderful furry and feathered friends.
We encourage further education, and we offer a fully paid week leave to attend conferences etc.
We have vet meetings every morning to discuss any hard or annoying cases and we tutor all young or inexperienced veterinarians.
We do not have a large workload and that means that the vet has time on each case to fully investigate and time to discuss the case with each client.
We care for our staff – if you are inexperienced then we will teach you, if you are moderately experienced we will encourage and help you to develop your skills and if you are very experienced, we will leave you alone unless you require help.
Every vet gets 6 weeks holidays a year.
Every vet gets “half a day” off each week.
If you are “on duty” on a weekend – the next weekend is a 4-day weekend.
There is some afterhour work involved but our workload afterhours is very small.
We believe that there is more to life than veterinary science and it is important that we have a life outside of veterinary science.
Salary starts at $80,000.00 for new graduate and goes up higher depending on experience of successful applicant.
We offer rental assistance to the successful applicant for the first year of employment and further assistance would be considered after this time.
Please click here to see photos!
Why should you consider coming to Bundaberg?
It is a small city with lots to offer all citizens of our fine town. It is the southern most point of the Barrier Reef. We are a “step and hop” away from Gari (Frazer Island). Our beaches are safe for all water sports and activities, and we have a number of dams in the area for those who want to partake of freshwater activities. Our city caters for all forms of team sports as well as individual sports and forms of recreation.
We have the world-famous Mon Repos turtle sanctuary, and we are one of the ports for Whale Watching. We are surrounded by some of the best growing areas in Australia and are often called the Salad Bowl of Australia.
The cost of living is a lot cheaper than any of the big cities and transport is easy and traffic jam free. In fact, it only takes 20 minutes to drive from one side of the city to the other even in peak hour traffic.
Our air is clean, there is no pollutant smells, the people are friendly, there are lots of different schools and one university, there is a very active playhouse and there is night entertainment for the young and young at heart.
To sum it up
Bundaberg is a very safe, healthy and happy place to live, the veterinary hospital is a great place to work and the successful applicant will learn a lot and develop their veterinary skill under the tuition of very experienced senior vets and you will have plenty of time away to have a “normal” life.
If you require more information, then please contact our manager and we can supply you with as much information as you need.
