EASTERN MELBOURNE - 24/7 SMALL ANIMAL HOSPITAL

Extraordinary Beginnings

We're not looking for superstars; we're just a team of passionate veterinarians who work together to achieve the extraordinary. We are not a corporate clinic, and so we have more control over our destiny!  We've been pioneering in our field for years, and we're excited to open our doors to a new colleague who shares our enthusiasm. Each of us has our unique areas of interest and expertise, and we're eager to welcome someone who wants to explore their passion with us.

State-of-the-Art Facility

Our brand-new, purpose-built clinic is a veterinary haven, with gold-level feline friendly accreditation. We feature a full rehab-ready facility, including 9m swimming pool and underwater treadmill, cat-only consulting and hospital wing, advanced dental suite, separate soft tissue and orthopaedic surgical theatres, as well as fluoroscopy and CT scanner all on site.

We have all of the toys that you would expect for a hospital of our scale - and more! We're especially excited by advancements around our industry, and as such we work with AI consulting software and love whipping out our CO2 laser for surgery!

Please click here to see photos! photos

24/7 Hospital

As a 24/7 hospital, we encounter a wide range of cases, from routine vaccinations to unique emergencies. You'll have the opportunity to be involved in diverse cases from day one with clients who are invested to take the next step when it comes to their pet's healthcare. Our team is close-knit and supportive, ensuring you'll have guidance and assistance whenever you need it.

We are excited to support our clinicians in their areas of special interest and actively encourage them to pursue developing growth in these areas.

Whilst the role will see you working across both routine and emergency cases, we are especially looking for someone to flourish in our emergency service. A candidate who is looking to further develop their interests in this area would find the role to be extremely satisfying and highly rewarding.

Build your fanbase by booking your clients back to see you for their follow-ups. Learn how to finesse your clinical approach by following the progress of your patients, as they recover from everything from sore ears, to diabetic ketoacidosis to GDV!

Get to the bottom of your suspicions - all of your diagnostic fantasies are at your fingertips. We have a full laboratory suite - offering blood gas analysis, hormonal assays, CBC, biochemistry, digital microscopy and clotting profiles. How about imaging? Take your pick from the DR-X-RAY, dental X-ray, ultrasonography, fluoroscopy, endoscopy and the CT scanner.

Create and implement treatment plans based on the latest evidence-based strategies. With a wide range of cases, this may mean stabilising an Addisonian crisis to discharge or nurturing a blocked cat toward a perineal urethrostomy procedure. Whether you're excited about medicine or surgery, our case management is comprehensive and will give you the opportunity to explore this aspect of patient care.

Collaborate with a team of equally excited veterinarians to reach your patient goals. We have extensive communication support channels amongst the team, there is always a hand available - any time of the day or night. We find those who best succeed in our environment will be those who actively participate in collegial discussions through these networks.

Step up into a role of leadership and decisiveness! Overnight shifts and periods of sole charge will mean that you, as the veterinarian, are the leader of the hospital! Whilst you will also spend time working directly alongside your veterinary colleagues, sole charge shifts really allow you the challenge to cultivate strong leadership capabilities! You will have an experienced support team behind you, and management staff on call for when you need a bit of extra support.

Invest in yourself and value growth & career progression. We have a practice membership with the leading provider of Australian emergency veterinary education - Vet Education. We also support and tutor our clinicians through the development of their soft, non-clinical skills through teachings from The Lincoln Institute.

Our clinic value:

Treat every client as you would wish your mother to be treated.

Treat every pet as you would wish your 3-year-old niece to be treated.

If this resonates with you - we're waiting to hear from you!
