ASPENDALE GARDENS, BAYSIDE MELBOURNE - SMALL ANIMAL New Position

Part time/Full time vet

Aspendale Gardens Vet Hospital is an independent small animal practice in the bayside suburbs of Melbourne. We are a family friendly practice with a dedicated team who practice high standards of medicine and surgery. We work closely with many specialists in the area who are always keen to share their knowledge. Our clients are genuinely lovely and appreciate our knowledge and advice. They bring in chocolates and thank you cards (not only after euthanasias), and even bring in fresh produce like lemons and various seasonal fruits!

Our team consists of two senior, highly experienced vets and we are looking for a third vet to join us. We have a group of amazing, experienced nurses who are really dedicated and supportive. Our senior vets enjoy supporting and mentoring other vets, while equally providing autonomy over clinical decision making. We have many vet students come through the clinic, providing opportunities for them to learn in a supportive practice and to pay it forward helping the next generation of vets.

We are currently looking for an experienced veterinarian to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be a caring, friendly vet who has excellent communication skills. We are flexible about whether the role is part time or full time and have lots of flexibility around work days and times. It is more important to find the right person to join our team than anything else.

There are multiple local emergency centres in close proximity so you don’t have to feel even remotely guilty about leaving work on time each day. We also close over the Easter long weekend and between Christmas and New Year so that everyone can have a break and recharge.

So if you are looking for a team who actually enjoy working together and make work a fun place to be then please get in touch. We would really enjoy meeting you.

WEST FOOTSCRAY, INNER WESTERN MELBOURNE - SMALL ANIMAL - SURGERY FOCUS

Do you love the challenge of surgery while enjoying good banter with the nurses?

And are you looking for a less Client Facing role?

Then we have the right job for you!

Our independent small animal clinic located in the inner-west of Melbourne was founded in 2005 on the ethos of valuing all pets as members of the family. Originally just a house call service, it has grown to become a fully equipped 5 vet, 10 nurse practice. An exciting new opportunity has become available to join our team.

We wanted to create a practice that was as much about the people as the animals. Over the years we have built a lovely and loyal client base who are more than happy to follow our recommendations. They expect and appreciate the elevated level of veterinary services and holistic care that we provide. Our consultations times have been carefully curated to allow sufficient opportunity to discuss diagnostic and care plans.

Our village location allows us to feel a part of the local community and we work in collaboration with our sister practice Well Beings located across the road. Well Beings offers allied health modalities including hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, acupuncture and osteopathy as well as grooming and behaviour training. As we refer patients for rehabilitation between our two locations, orthopaedic skills would be highly advantageous for this new role.

Self-care is important to us, so we ensure all our staff have the time and energy to enjoy life outside of work hours. There is no after hours, public holiday or on-call duties. There is very limited sole charge work as at least two vets are rostered in the clinic each day. Both our practice owners work full time in the business and are still passionate vets and strong patient advocates. Our diverse team of nurses and receptionists are kind, very experienced and always willing to lend a hand to whoever needs it.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly team player who desires the freedom to pursue their special interests in surgery. If you have the passion to exceed client expectations and the drive to produce excellent patient outcomes, then we would love to hear from you.

In return you will be part of a workplace community that promotes employee wellbeing, satisfaction, and retention. Our practice has secure off-street parking, offers generous staff discounts, and is conveniently located close to public transport, great coffee and multicultural cuisine.
