Veterinary Nurses

We’re growing and we need more awesome Vet nurses to join our team. We have positions available at VetLove Billinudgel in beautiful Northern NSW.

We could tell you why you should join the VetLove family – but we thought we would ask our current nursing team to tell you why THEY love being a VetLove Nurse!

Family-owned business, one of the owners would be working alongside you in your team. So, they will see how hard you work, value you and know you're crucial to the team's success!

Epic Christmas parties (last year we had fireworks) where everyone has an equal chance to be rewarded, we don't create a team against team KPI based reward system. We acknowledge that every clinic is in a different stage of development, and everyone is contributing to the team's success.

Bonus system - NOT a commission. A reward for your team for doing what you do. When you hit fair achievable targets. Geoff introduced this because he wants our teams to be financially rewarded for their hard work!

Our support crew (bosses) are all from a Vet background, so they speak our LANGUAGE! They understand our needs and challenges and they are truly supportive.

Super enthusiastic, entrepreneurial leader, Geoff Wilson, who does solo walks across Antarctica for FUN and to raise bucket loads of money for charity! He is a genuine good guy who loves what he does. He comes into clinics to do orthopaedic surgeries (so still lives and breathes clinic life) and is always bright & breezy & "up"! He has a genuine interest in making sure our teams are happy, love what they do and making VETLOVE better!

Vetlove Heart - is a program to help keep our teams mentally fit, give us tools to realise when we are not ok and how to deal with those feelings. An incredible resource so we don't overlook someone’s struggle, crucial in our industry!

Annual conference- to improve our skills, learn, bond as a bigger team, and rediscover our passion for the industry we love.

Tree change - a charity for which we collect funds to plant trees for Orangutans! This business CARES about creating a better future for animals!

So, if you're a Nurse in a clinic feeling unappreciated, lost your mojo or want to join an energized enthusiastic team who STILL LOVE WHAT WE DO get in touch! You will love life in the PINK

Email us today at: HR@vetlove.com.au if you think this could be the right position for you!

About the Position:

Are you passionate about providing high standards of veterinary care to your patients and the best possible service to your clients? Do you want to join a small friendly team looking to make a positive difference in our community? If your answer to these questions is a resounding Yes, we want to hear from you.

About Us:

Cowra Veterinary Centre is a 2.5-vet rural mixed practice located in the central west of NSW. We moved into our new purpose-built clinic close to three years ago, so everything is well designed, sparkly, and new and works really well.

Continuing education is strongly encouraged for all staff, and we include VNCA membership as part of employment.

Animal Referral Hospital Baulkham Hills, Sydney (posted 19th October)

arh_logo.jpg

Vet Nurse
Baulkham Hills NSW

We have Lurelle. Lurelle is our discharge nurse, and so much more! Lurelle is moving far away. We asked Lurelle to drive 10 hours to work each day, just so she can stay. She can’t.

So, we need a new Lurelle.

The Animal Referral Hospital Baulkham Hills is looking for the next person who will love our hospital the way Lurelle has.

The discharge nurse’s primary role is to assist and facilitate the discharge of overnight patients to either home, their regular vet or to our specialist hospital not too far away.

Hospital maintenance is the next big focus - it is a physical role, with a focus on repair and preparing the space from the night that was and the night that will be. You need to have a passion for cleaning.

There’s other stuff too - continuing relationships with our local GP’s, lab equipment maintenance, keeping on top of our heaven folder and some admin stuff like ensuring X-rays are attached and histories are sent.

The role is Monday-Friday, 7am-1pm (ish) - some days you can leave a little earlier and others you might stay a little longer. Open to looking at this being a shared role but would prefer consistency with the roster.

There’s a little bit of nursing involved (i.e., early morning emergency’s) but this role is not a primary nursing role.

Want to know more? Drop me a line at m.sorrenson@arhvets.com
I look forward to hearing from you - Michelle Sorrenson.

The Wild Vet Animal Hospital, Glebe, (posted 14th October)

The Wild Vet Logo

Full Time Veterinary Nurse – Immediate start available

About Us

The Wild Vet is an exotics and small animal hospital based in Glebe, just across the road from the beautiful Blackwattle Bay foreshore walk. We see an enormous variety of domestic pets, from cats and dogs to rabbits, parrots, pythons, fish, and dragons (bearded and water, not Targaryen). With frequent wildlife care on top of our routine consults and cases, no two days are the same.

The Wild Vet is not your average vet hospital. If you’re looking to be a part of a team that cares for possums, lorikeets, and bin chickens as much as the frequent flyer french bulldog, you’re in the right place! We are environmentally focused, strive to provide gold standards of care for all of our patients, and our team is close knit with an emphatic (but not necessarily high quality) radio sing-along not out of the ordinary.

With one of our nurses moving to her specialist hospital dream role, we’re now after an experienced and patient-focused vet nurse to join our gaggle of four vets, six nurses, plenty of staff animals, and one practice manager. As a bonus (and for a bit of peace of mind), all of our staff are double vaxxed and we ensure that we’re following strict Covid protocols, even as Sydney relaxes those pesky restrictions.

About The Role

You will be joining our team as a permanent full-time nurse working a 38 hour week across four weekdays with paid lunch breaks. This also means you have perma-long weekends with every Monday rostered off. This role will be focused on gold standards of patient care, and you will be working in a team that has a varied caseload, with a strong emphasis on wildlife care and treatment. We have all the usual toys – ultrasound, digital DR x-ray, cautery, suction, endoscopy, dental x-ray – so you can rest assured your patients are getting the very best care and equipment available to them.

The key roles and responsibilities for this role include:

About You

You are "THAT" nurse.

You know, the one that goes the extra mile for their patients, and cares about every single one as if they were their own pet. The nurse that looks forward to work in the morning because this is what they live and breathe.

You’ve got your Cert IV in nursing along with at least three years’ experience under your belt, and you’re looking for a clinic that prioritises the care of every animal that walks/slithers/bounds through the door. You may not have a heap of experience with exotics, but it’s something that interests and excites you! You want to find a team that has a great sense of humour, gets along with one another, and delivers awesome patient care. You’ve worked with EzyVet before (or are keen to learn the ropes), and your client communication is top notch, as you’re comfortable answering the phone and giving patient updates to pet parents on the daily. You have a bright personality and a smile on your face even when the day gets a bit hectic. You prioritise excellent customer service, and work efficiently in a team as well as showing initiative when working alone.

This amazing role is ready to fill immediately, but we are happy to be patient for the perfect candidate. Salary will be commensurate with experience. We politely ask that only applicants who have received two doses of Covid vaccine (or are awaiting their second shot) apply.

If this sounds like your dream role, send your CV and a cover letter to our practice manager, Liz Garling, at: admin@thewildvet.com.au

If you’d like some more info or to have a confidential chat about the position, pick up the phone and dial 1300 945 383
