We’ve just moved into our brand-new, purpose-built clinic in the heart of Hamilton – and now we’re ready to welcome a new leader to guide our passionate team into the next chapter.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role in a well-established, community-focused clinic that serves a diverse mix of companion animals and livestock. If you're looking for a role where you can make a real impact – both in the clinic and in the local community – we’d love to hear from you.

Our Clinic
Grampians Animal Health brings together Cox Street Vets and Livestock Logic – a trusted mixed animal clinic and production animal consultancy. We’re proud of our deep roots in the community and our reputation for quality care across companion animals, livestock, and more.

Our team is a mix of experienced and early-career vets, supported by skilled veterinary nurses and trainees. We work collaboratively, share knowledge freely, and genuinely enjoy what we do.

We’ve recently moved into our brand-new, purpose-built clinic in Hamilton – a space designed with both our team and our clients in mind. This modern facility brings together our Cox Street Vets and Livestock Logic teams under one roof, creating a collaborative environment where mixed animal care thrives. The new clinic is equipped to support high-quality veterinary medicine across companion and mixed animals, with room to grow and adapt to the needs of our community.

Community Involvement
At Grampians Animal Health, we’re deeply connected to the communities we serve. Our work goes beyond the clinic walls — we support local farmers through on-farm trials, herd health consultancy, and educational outreach. Our parasitology lab, Worm Logic, provides diagnostic services that benefit producers, veterinarians, and researchers across the country.

We also offer preventative healthcare programs like “Best Mates,” making quality pet care more accessible to families in our region. Whether it’s caring for wildlife, supporting local events, or helping educate the next generation of animal carers, we’re proud to play an active role in the wellbeing of our community.

As Clinical Lead, you’ll have the opportunity to strengthen these connections and help us grow our community impact.

About Hamilton
Hamilton is a welcoming regional city in South-West Victoria, surrounded by natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. From the Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park to the Budj Bim Cultural Centre, there’s plenty to explore. The region offers excellent schools, healthcare, and lifestyle opportunities, with agriculture – especially sheep grazing – at the heart of the local economy.

About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on leader to unite and inspire our team. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our clinic, now operating from a brand-new, purpose-built facility.

Your Skills & Values
You’re an experienced vet ready to lead with purpose. You value collaboration, growth, and making a difference in your community.

What We Offer

Support Beyond the Clinic
While Grampians Animal Health operates independently with a strong local focus, we’re backed by the broader Apiam network — a rural and regional veterinary group that supports us behind the scenes so we can focus on what matters most: our patients, our team, and our community.

Being part of Apiam means you’ll have access to:

It’s the best of both worlds: local care with national support.

BAIRNSDALE, EAST GIPPSLAND - MIXED, SMALL ANIMAL OR SMALL ANIMAL/EQUINE WELCOME New Graduates welcome

Eastwood Vets in Bairnsdale are looking for new vets to join our team. We are a small family owned clinic with a focus on building a supportive and nurturing workplace for our staff to provide quality care to our patients. We welcome applications from experienced vets who can hit the ground running or new graduates, semi retired, vet mums and vets who have been out of the industry for a while and wish to dip a toe back in the water – we love providing a working environment where people can learn and build confidence whether that be as new graduates or re-entering the workforce after a period out of the industry. All you need to bring is a can do attitude and the rest will be history.

Who are we?
Eastwood Vets – not the Ballarat ones, the Bairnsdale ones. We are a reasonably young clinic having been under our current management for four years. Our clinic philosophy is to support our staff and their families to the best of our ability whilst providing quality care to our patients. We have a strong family focus and specialise in providing flexible working conditions to accommodate your needs and provide work-life balance.

Our team consists of five vets, 6 amazing certificate 4 nurses, 2 trainees and a receptionist. We are situated in a purpose built facility with digital xray (smallies and equine), in house bloods and general pathology capabilities, ultrasound (smallies and equine), portable and fixed equine crushes (for your safety), IM3 ‘elite’ dental machine (for your sanity) and plenty of other toys to assist in your diagnostic work ups.

More important stuff to know about working at Eastwood vets

Where are we
Eastwood, in Bairnsdale…… Google it…. The Travel Victoria website will tell you everything you need to know about the beautiful East Gippsland region that you could learn to call home. There’s lots of stuff here… All the things you need (schools, daycare, kindergarten, pharmacy, café, supermarket, dental and doctors clinics all in the shopping centre next door to the clinic), plus there is lots of fun stuff too (snowfields, beaches, hundreds of sporting clubs across a huge variety of sports, the iconic Gippsland Lakes, all within stone throw from the clinic).

Sensible stuff you probably do need to know:
Whilst we are a mixed general practice we provide a wide range of companion animal and equine services, we currently provide limited farm animal services due to time constraints. We would be happy to accommodate smallies only vets, smallies equine vets very comfortably and welcome anyone with and interest in farm animal practice, but it would take time to grow the caseload in this area. Pay and all conditions are in accordance with current award.

Employer sponsorship (work visa) considered for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.

Please email applications or call the clinic and speak to Meg.
