Malvern Veterinary Hospital, Armadale, Inner Melbourne (posted 19th November)
Are you our next superstar Veterinary nurse?
Malvern Vet Hospital is searching for a Permanent Full-time or Part-time Veterinary Nurse to join the team and grow with them. Part-time approximately 33 hours a week including some Saturday's.
Have you ever sat down and really thought to yourself 'Why do I do what I do?'. Whilst writing this job advertisement I did just that and was pleasantly reminded of my personal purpose and why I come to work each day.
My mum was brought up in a small apartment in Paris, no space for her and her siblings let alone any pets. So when she grew up, she made countryside England her new home. She adopted all the pets she wished for and dreamt of as a child. My childhood was filled with an abundance of unconditional love and support from the pets we had, my cuddle buddies when I was feeling down. My pets positively impacted my life growing up and I wanted to repay my gratitude by caring for other people's cuddle buddies so that they were around to help through any hardship and share in their joy.
I have worked at Malvern Vet Hospital since 2008. I started as a trainee Vet nurse and am now the Practice Manager. There are many others who have worked here even longer than me, 1988 being the winner! Some have even returned after leaving. We have a supportive and caring management team who will listen to you and have your back. Staff turnover is low because we treat each other with kindness and respect and people enjoy working here. It also helps that we are paid higher than the award wages! Let's be honest, they are ridiculously low for what qualifications we bring to the team!
Malvern Vet Hospital is an independently owned and operated hospital, an ASAVA Accredited Veterinary Hospital of Excellence since 1981! We strive to provide all our patients with gold standards of care. We are a progressive and well equipped Hospital: Digital Radiology, Ultrasonography, Endoscopy, in-house pathology machines to name a few. We are also able to provide our clients with fabulous cat boarding and dog grooming services.
Our philosophy is to be compassionate to our clients, patients and each other. To be patient advocates and offer the best possible care. To be respectful to one another, with a really supportive team. To be outstanding in everything we do. We are constantly re-evaluating and improving our systems and are open to new ideas.
We are looking for a Full-time or Part-time experienced vet nurse who would like to be a part of a large busy hospital, with an amazing friendly and supportive team, where you are encouraged to grow your skills, and with the potential to move up the ladder when the time is right. We are looking for someone who takes pride in a job that is meaningful, and thrives on making a difference.
We are extremely accessible to public transport, with Malvern train station and tram stops a hop skip and a jump away. We are located in an affluent area with clientele who want the best for their fur babies. We are lucky enough to be able to provide patients with the kind of work ups and patient care we all want to practice.
If you are a like-minded experienced veterinary nurse who shares in our philosophies and ready to work in a busy, energetic hospital with a fun and supportive team email us your cover letter and resume to management@malvernvet.com.au
