Twin Towns Vet is a small animal clinic located in the heart of Coolangatta, QLD – just a 5-minute walk from the beach! We are currently seeking a dedicated and friendly Part-time Veterinary Nurse to join our team.
We are 3 vet practice, with a close-knit nursing team who are genuinely great friends, as well as colleagues.
About the Role
The position will be up to 20 hours per week, with occasional Saturdays required.
As a Part-time Vet Nurse at Twin Towns Vet, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting our veterinarians with routine exams and procedures
- Providing surgical and hospital nursing care, including anaesthetic monitoring
- Delivering pre- and post-operative patient care, as well as offering grief support to clients
- Administering medications and preparing treatments as required
- Managing the admission and discharge process for surgical and hospital patients
- Communicating treatment plans and updates to clients
- Performing blood collection, testing, and IV catheter placement
- Assisting with diagnostic imaging (x-rays and ultrasounds)
- Supporting dental care, including scale and polish and performing dental x-rays
- Contributing to day-to-day nursing tasks to support our vets and team in providing the highest standard of patient care
About You
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with a minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience
