Hamilton is a city in the Waikato region in the North Island of New Zealand.
Hamilton has one of New Zealand's most innovative public gardens the "Hamilton Gardens", a riverside walk, river cruises, and a great restaurant and bar scene.
The Waikato region itself is well known for its caves, rolling green hills and was featured in the Lord of the Rings TM movie franchise. It is also where Hobbiton TM Movie Set is located for you to visit while still being close to surf beaches and a short drive to Hamilton for some city conveniences.
