Seaford is a suburb in Melbourne, 36 km south-east from Melbourne's central business district. Its Local Government Area is the City of Frankston. Places of interest include the Seaford Foreshore Reserve, Kananook Creek, the historic Seaford Hotel and the ruins of the Seaford Wool Shed. Carrum Downs is 34 km south-east from Melbourne's CBD. Carrum Downs is serviced by three shopping precincts, with a fourth bordering the suburb in neighbouring Seaford.
Melbourne is a comparably young city with 48% of people being under 35. More than 233 nationalities live there, making it one of the world's most multicultural cities. It has the largest Greek and Italian communities living outside of those countries. A combination of this multicultural diversity and a temperate climate has translated into Melbournians love of fine dining, arts and culture, sports and the outdoors. The city is well-designed and located amidst parklands along the banks of the Yarra River, just a few kilometres from Port Phillip Bay. With the sea to the south and mountains to the north, the city offers something for everyone. It has extensive parks and gardens, spacious suburbs, affordable housing, good education, accessible public transport and a modern road system. With a low crime rate, it provides a safe and healthy environment in which to live and work.
