Queanbeyan is the largest city in southeast NSW and is located 15 minutes from Parliament House, Canberra ACT, 10 minutes from Canberra International Airport and approximately 3 1/2 hours from Sydney.

Queanbeyan was declared a village in 1838 and has much to offer the visitor. There is a wide range of accommodation, including motels, caravan parks, hotels and a delightful country farm stay, most an easy walk to the Central Business District with its many restaurants, clubs and interesting shopping.

There are excellent sporting facilities in the city or a leisurely stroll can be enjoyed along the banks of the Queanbeyan River (see if you can spot a platypus!), over the lovely old Suspension Bridge past the golf course and through the older section of Queanbeyan first settled by our forefathers.

There are many interesting nooks and crannies to discover throughout this city. For those interested in bush walking, National parks and forests with many walks and barbecue facilities surround Queanbeyan. A visit to Googong Foreshores for a spot of fishing or just relaxing is a must.
