FULL-TIME SURGICAL VETERINARY NURSE REQUIRED
Western Australian Veterinary Emergency and Specialty (WAVES) is currently looking for a Full Time Surgery Nurse to join our team.

We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic, and dedicated nurses who are genuinely interested in surgical veterinary procedures and are willing to consistently provide quality patient care in a sometimes-hectic environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Certificate IV in veterinary nursing or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in general practice.
- Flexibility with your working hours and have a real passion for surgery.
- Previous experience in a referral hospital would be an advantage however your approach is the most important thing to us. You will get training and support if you have the right attitude, but only lack the experience.
Role Responsibilities:
- Monitoring anaesthesia.
- Preparing patients for surgery - blood taking, catheter placement, clip and prep of surgical site.
- Scrubbing into procedures such as Hip replacements, TPLO’s, Spinal decompressions, Fracture repairs and many more!
- Taking care of patients pre and post op until they are discharged, including liasing with owners.
- Instrument cleaning and sterilisation.
