We’re currently seeking an experienced Cert IV Veterinary Nurse or Veterinary Technician to join the Deagon Sandgate Veterinary Practice. We are proud to be a member of Vetwell, a boutique group of privately owned veterinary practices based in Brisbane.

Our small animal clinic, located on Brisbane’s northside, is a long-established and highly regarded practice. We are very blessed to have an amazing clientele that care deeply about their pets and their healthcare. We pride ourselves in creating long standing relationships and ensuring clients respect and trust us to do what is best for their pets.
The role can be full time or part-time, with shifts typically scheduled between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm Monday to Friday and 7:30am – 12:00pm every second Saturday.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A genuine passion for veterinary nursing
- A fantastic sense of humour
- Strong client service and communication skills (in person and on the phone)
- The ability to multitask, prioritise, and work independently
- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional presentation
- A willingness to continuously learn and improve through training and development
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Maintaining high levels of cleanliness and organisation in the clinic
- Reception and client communication duties
- Educating and advising clients
- Assisting veterinarians with exams and surgical procedures
- Prepping animals for surgery, including placing IV catheters and collecting blood samples
- Monitoring anaesthesia and providing post-op care
- Administering medications and running in-house pathology
- Supporting ultrasound and radiography procedures
