TRUE MIXED PRACTICE VETERINARY POSITION
Maternity leave position 6-12 months
Flexibility is yours: full time on a 4d work week (yes its true!!), or part time negotiable

Mixed practice veterinarian 55% smallies : 45% largies (dairy>beef>the rest 😊)
Experienced vets only, as we are currently dedicated to training our recent grad portion of the team & are not in a position to employ a new grad at this time. Join a great team with variety of experience: two recent grad savvy go-getters, three jack-of-all-trade 5-10 year exp vets and two 10 year plus experienced MAMILs (they say pre-MAMIL haha). Additional vet support in 2 practice managers who are vets with >10years exp
Salary $90-115,000pa depending on experience (plus AHs, mileage, super, registrations/licences)
December 2024 start, negotiable

Two clinic sites with all the usual equipment including cattle ultrasound, equine powerfloat, DR xrays, in house bloods, etc. Flash new premises under construction for Kiewa clinic, mid 2025 should be moved in.
Shared AHs, 1 in 8 weekends equiv (life changingly good- gone are the 1in3 and4!)
Clinic hours 8.30-5pm M-F at both sites, 9-11am at Tallangatta only on Saturdays

We have an experienced PT vet on maternity leave, and about to wave off another experienced long-term team member for maternity leave in December. Hence room for you to join our awesome crew! Maternity cover means you can “try” before taking on a permanent long term spot, if you wish.
We have a lot to offer including 4 day work week, 1-in-8 AHs. The mix of daily work allows for variety and skill development. Living only 30mins from Albury Wodonga, our little town stands out for its amazing outdoors leisure in the region including Lake Hume (fishing, waterskiing etc), short drive to ski fields, loads of biking trails/tracks, horse sports, AFL, netball, tennis, squash all locally. Into Albury Wodonga, you can play any sport you wish! Short drive to lovely tourist areas/winery areas of Beechworth, Bright, Rutherglen, King Valley. Or camp in the high country, hike and ride rail trails in any direction! Daycare, Primary and High school options in Tallangatta, with large number of options for alternatives in Alb/Wodonga with bus services from Tallangatta.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised team member, keen to provide quality care and who wants to grow and develop as a great all-rounder vet. If you value teamwork, good humour and job satisfaction; are a self-starter with excellent communication skills- then you’ll fit with us! You should be willing to have a crack at all things mixed practice (plenty of backup and support through the existing vet group of course), and have integrity to uphold the values of the clinic. Excellent nurses and support staff. Host of CSU final year Rural Mixed practice rotation.
