Veterinary Nurse - Part Time

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) WA is the state's leading voice in animal welfare. On an average day, we employ around 100 staff and we have the support of an amazing group of volunteers. Together, our team works diligently toward preventing animal cruelty.

About this opportunity

The veterinary clinic based at the RSPCA WA shelter in Malaga provides services for the shelter animals and the RSPCA WA Inspectorate. As we do not offer a veterinary service to the public, there is no reception work. You will rotate across surgery, wards and shelter checks. Our caseload includes surrendered animals, prosecution cases, surgery, medical cases, and routine care.

This permanent, part-time role will be 4-5 7.6-hour days (Mon-Fri) per week. No weekends!

This role is aimed at an experienced Veterinary Nurse who can work unsupervised and does not require supervision from a veterinary surgeon for general, and more complex, nursing tasks.

Duties
Carry out all nursing tasks without instruction including (but not limited to):

Skills & experience

Inclusive

At RSPCA WA, we accept and celebrate our differences. We aim to create a diverse workforce where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect. We believe it is in the RSPCA WA's best interests and those who work within it, to recognise the value of each individual and to combat prejudice, stereotyping and harassment.

Applications must include a concise CV along with a covering statement outlining the skills and experience you would bring to this role and your salary expectations.
