Minimum requirements:
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent).
- At least 2 years of full-time nursing experience (or equivalent).
This full-time role reports directly to our veterinary nurse manager, Charlotte, and works closely with the entire team.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You’ll play a key role in supporting our patients and clients. Duties include:
- Assisting with vet consults and running nurse consultations (e.g., dental checks, puppy/kitten visits, weight checks, arthritis injections, nail trims, and more).
- Admitting and discharging surgical patients.
- Administering and monitoring anaesthesia (under veterinary supervision).
- Collecting blood samples, placing IV catheters, and administering medications.
- Running in-house pathology tests (e.g., blood, urine, faecal analyses).
- Taking radiographs (full-body and dental).
- Providing care for hospitalised patients.
- Maintaining and servicing equipment.
