Veterinary Nurse - Full or Part Time
About us:
Our clinic is a Three Vet small animal, family-oriented pet hospital and has been servicing the Liverpool area for over 35 years.
We are well equipped with in house Idexx Procyte, Catalyst and UA machines, brand new digital radiography, ultrasound, IM3 elite dental unit, dental x-ray and multiple equipment for monitoring, temperature control and supportive therapy.
What we are looking for in a nurse:
- An experienced Veterinary Nurse.
- Certificate 4 in Veterinary nursing.
- Hard-working with Great customer service and communication skills.
- A reliable person with a positive attitude.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain high standards.
You will be responsible for:
- Medical nursing duties such as i.v catheter placements, administering medication, caring for hospitalised patients
- Reception duties including phone calls, admission and discharges
- Nurse consults for post op check ups, suture removals, nail clips, follow up injections eg Synovan, Beransa, cytopoint or B12.
- Surgery duties including set up, monitoring, recovery, surgery room disinfection and maintaining of surgical instruments.
- Pathology routines including blood collection, running in house bloods, UA, staining slides, labelling specimens etc.
