The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our wonderful team on a part-time basis. As the first point of contact for our clients, the receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for both our clients and their pets. You will be responsible for managing front-desk operations, handling client communications, and providing support to our veterinary team. We are seeking an efficient, organised and proficient communicator who is passionate about working with our team to build positive rapport with our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries, providing accurate information and scheduling appointments.
- Manage patient records, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurately maintained.
- Process payments, handle transactions, and manage invoicing.
- Assist with managing the clinic’s appointment schedule and coordinating with veterinary staff.
- Provide administrative support, including filing, data entry, and maintaining inventory of office supplies.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience veterinary receptionist within the animal industry/clinic environment (essential!).
- Experience in Veterinary Nursing would prove beneficial, however not essential.
- Knowledge of Ezyvet is ideal but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- A genuine love for animals and a compassionate attitude towards pet owners.
- An eye for detail, a good work ethic and a willingness to keep learning and improving both themselves and the practice.
- An ability to handle a high volume, fast paced, hospital environment.
- The ability to manage a busy appointment schedule & manage reception administration tasks.
