Brighton Veterinary Hospital, an accredited veterinary hospital, is committed to providing comprehensive small-animal veterinary services to the local community. As a 100% veterinarian-owned and operated hospital, led by Dr. Brian Golden, our cohesive team of 25 individuals (6 veterinarians) is united by a shared commitment to improving the lives of all our patients.

The veterinarian team each has unique sub-specialised interests enhancing patient outcomes but also providing invaluable support and advice to the entire team. The highly experienced surgical nursing team, longstanding members of the BVH family, contributes significantly to our success.

Our new, modern, purpose-built facility will allow us to expand our services, enhance comfort, and continue providing the highest standard of veterinary care.
The new clinic will be conveniently located just across the road from our current practice. Designed with both our team and clients in mind, the new space will prioritize staff wellbeing, exceptional clinical care, and a welcoming, supportive environment for both our clients and our pets.

Key features of the role include:
- A staged and documented 12-18 month development plan, starting with routine vaccination consultations and progressing to more complex case management
- A surgical mentor and regular surgery rotation opportunities
- Dedicated study time for the first 3-6 months
- Paid Annual Veterinary Board Registration and EPA Radiation License
- Consultation mentoring on consulting techniques and approach
- A dedicated regular mentoring session with a senior vet to discuss cases and review clinic protocols
- Comprehensive access to internal and external learning resources
- A supportive roster ensuring experienced oversight and no initial sole charge or weekend shifts
- Regular shared lunches and subsidised social events
What we are looking for?
- A recent Veterinary Medicine graduate, or soon to graduate individual
- A willingness to learn and grow
- An ability to work with fellow team members and build rapport with clients
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A positive, can-do attitude, with a passion for continuous learning
- Adaptability and resilience in an often unpredictable environment
