Experienced Small Animal Locum Vet
Period: Mid September – end of December 2025
Days: 4-5 days a week between Monday to Friday
Hours: 9am – 3pm
Work:
- Small animals only
- 2 vets on duty a day
- No sole charge
- Combination of Consultation and Surgery
Caseloads:
- Semi-rural clinic so could expect snake and tick cases
- Routine surgeries for both private and rescue patients
- Referral centres close by if needed
- Visiting surgeons and specialists for orthopaedic cases and ultrasound
Equipment:
- In-house Zoetis haematology, biochemistry, AI cytology reader
- Digital X-rays
- Ultrasound machine
Support:
- Nurses are friendly and accommodating
- Will do surgical estimate, admission and discharge, invoicing, and notes for routine procedures
Salary range:
- $75-100 ph negotiable
Additional:
- Travel allowance negotiable
- Accommodation can be provided
- A vehicle will be provided
- Trial shifts available prior to locum dates
