We are currently looking for a full-time Lead Nurse Coordinator for our Aldinga practice.
Here at Willunga & Aldinga Veterinary Services, we are a team of over 40 staff who pride ourselves on providing excellent standards of care and going above and beyond for owners. You will be supporting a dedicated team in a growing, privately owned, accredited veterinary hospital that’s been serving the local community for nearly 50 years.
Our two purpose-built practices are located approximately an hour away from Adelaide along the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula. We offer a range of services that include in-house pathology, digital x-rays and ultrasound, emergency treatment, surgery and internal medicine. We also perform a range of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries.
We are seeking a Lead Nurse Coordinator for our Aldinga practice. This role will entail clinical nursing, as well as coordination and optimisation of day-to-day workflow, and leadership responsibilities.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Delivering excellent client and patient care
- Reception, surgical, and hospital nursing duties
- Schedule management and rostering
- Recruitment, induction and onboarding of new staff
- Training, education and mentoring of the current team
- Performance management and reviews
- Develop, update and implement best-practice policies
- Support, and collaborate with, the leadership team across both practices
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification, or minimum 3 years of experience
- Commitment to providing gold standards of care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both clients and colleagues
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and willingness to get involved
