Full Time Small Animal Locum Vet for 1st November to 31st January 2025

Kirrawee Veterinary Hospital has been open in Sydney's Sutherland Shire for over 40 years. It was started by Dr Bill Ilkin and it is now run by his son, Dr Simon Ilkin. We are looking for a locum to fill in for our full time vets who will be on leave at this time. Our veterinarians do one weekend in four and are always on with experienced and supportive veterinarians. There are no afterhours involved.

We are looking for an enthusiastic locum veterinarian with a big heart and even bigger smile. We are a nurturing and supportive clinic. We have a variety of vets who are keen on different aspects of surgery and medicine life to bounce ideas off. We have a behaviourist and an internal medicine consultant who comes in once a week for our more complicated cases. We do a lot of orthopaedic procedures, chemotherapy, acupuncture, ultrasonography and wildlife care.

The ideal candidate would possess the following skills:

Enjoy practicing high quality medicine
Enjoy surgery
Competency in digital radiology, anaesthetics, IDEXX in house diagnostics
Have a strong work ethic
Keep calm under pressure
Excellent communication skills
