Laurieton is a coastal town on the NSW Mid North Coast. Laurieton is 365 kms north of Sydney and 42 kms south of Port Macquarie. It lies between the base of North Brother Mountain and the Camden Haven River.
Port Macquarie is well known for its fabulous beaches, wildlife and penal colony past. St. Thomas' Anglican Church was built by convicts in the 19th century. A coastal walk from the town centre to the 19th-century Tacking Point Lighthouse offers spectacular views and is home to whales and dolphins. Billabong Zoo is known for its koala breeding centre.
There is more to discover in Port Macquarie than a stunning coastline. Slip away to the lush green Wauchope hinterland, escape to the quiet waterways of Camden Haven or take the road less travelled to uncover quaint villages with friendly locals.
